Leaking From the Bottom:
1. Look for visible cracks in the water tank.
- If there are no visible cracks in the water tank, remove the water tank from the base and place it on a towel to see where the leak is.
- If the water tank still leaks after being removed from the base, the water tank is defective. Contact the Customer Service Team for a replacement.
2. If the water tank is fine, sometimes water around the fountain is caused by pets drinking. Some pets are prone to spilling or playing with the water using their paws, or a small amount of water may slowly flow along the rim of the water tray and down to the tank base if they drink from the edge of the tray. Watch your pet when he/she drinks to see if this is the cause.
- This can be confirmed by towel drying the water tank, keeping it out of your pet's reach for a few hours, and seeing if the problem persists.
- If the cause of spilling water is your pet's interactions with the fountain, you can purchase a water-resistant mat to place under the fountain.
Water Overflows From the Water Tray:
1. If the filters are not regularly changed, and the fountain is not regularly cleaned, the filtration efficiency will decrease, resulting in water flowing slower through the filter and more water to collect in the tray.
- It is recommended to replace the filters every two weeks, but if you have more than one pet, do it more frequently. To verify this, remove the filter and observe if the issue continues.
2. Remove the spout to clean the overflow-proof outlet and the hole, and make sure they are not caught in pet hair or food debris.
3. To keep your pet's drinking water fresh for as long as possible, when the water level gets low, don't just top it up, but rinse and refill the fountain instead.
